Gonna do it via an OEM rip but I can't burn DVDs. So could I put this on a portable HDD and install it from there?

About the lava, if you have a decent graphics card, you should be fine, if you don't lag now. And yes, I hate the idea of them remaking vanilla WoW stuff into new content. Blizzard, I am disappoint.
